September 2022 marked a turning point for me. I had experienced a significant disappointment over the summer. Instead of moping, I wanted to look ahead. I wanted a workable plan. I wanted to feel free to be myself fully and to take on some creative projects with the future in mind. It was too soon to retire, and our nest was beginning to empty.
